Two Virginia Tech Students Injured in Car Accident By Drunk Driver and How the Injuries Have Changed Their Lives
On September 6, 2008, Kellsye Pitsenbarger and Amanda Tyus, were walking down a street near the Virginia Tech campus when they were struck by a vehicle being operated by Ryan Williams Wresch, who was apparently under the influence of alcohol and possibly marijuana.
Both young ladies were seriously injured and it has taken them months of medical treatment and effort and to recover. However, according to their parents, both students wanted to do everything possible to get back to school to continue their academic studies.
Let’s all applaud these two amazing women for refusing to give-up and regaining their lives after being the victims of a drunk driver in one of the worst pedestrian knock-down cases I have read about in sometime.
I hope that the young ladies and their families either have or do retain the services of an experienced Virginia personal injury lawyer, who understands and has the knowledge and skill to prosecute a claim against a drunk driver. These cases will likely involve complex medical evaluations, punitive damages and various layers of automobile insurance coverage interplay.
To all my readers, this is what happens when people drive drunk! Encourage everyone you know to take a cab, sleep it off or have a designated driver.
