IKEA Recalls 3 Million Blinds After Strangulation | Virginia Defective Product Attorney
IKEA follows up a 2008 recall, adding an additional 3.4 million Roman, roller and roll-up blinds following the report of another child being strangled by the cord.
The blinds were mainly carried by Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney and Ace Hardware, as well as IKEA stores.
Consumers should immediately stop using all Roman and Roll-up blinds and return them to IKEA for a full refund. The roller blinds can be used with modification provided by the stores.
For more information on product return, call 1-888-966-4532 or visit the IKEA website.
US safety regulators and IKEA received a report of a 1-year-old boy almost strangled by the blind cords this February, a followup to 2008 reports that prompted the initial recall.
